Hi folks,

I've been listening to the podcast for a while now and thought it was high time to join the fun and games on the forums. So here goes…

My name is Rob. I'm a 33 year old postie living in Ipswich and have been playing games for longer than I care to remember. In fact, spending all that time hunched over my Mega Drive or SNES back in the day probably explains why I am a humble postie and not a brain surgeon or something. Still, who wants to work for a living any way? Unfortunately, due to the early starts, my three beautiful kids and terrifying wife, gaming time is a bit limited these days. However, when I do get a chance to get on the 360 or PS3 I mainly go for FPS games or a bit of Fifa and GTA. I'm currently fighting for S.V.E.R's cause on MAG but am tempted to switch sides to Raven so I can hear the 'TALK' from Darren.

My biscuit and beverage of choice would be custard creams and pepsi. The sugar and caffeign keeps me awake!

I hope to see you guys around the forums and indeed online for your legendary gamer nights. My gamertags are "xThe Mailman" for the Xbox 360 and "xThe_Mailman" for the PS3.

Be seein' ya.

Dude, from reading that intro you've got what it takes. Welcome to MLG, if you've got Left for Dead 2 we'll be kicking off sometime around 7:30 for zombie fun times.

Kick back and relax you're in good company here.

Welcome dude.

Another early starter.  At least I'm not the only one!  Does that mean you ever get a chance to game early afternoon?  I guess not with the children.  That's when I get most of my gaming in.

Hopefully see you soon.

Thanks for all the welcomes people. All friends requests are gratefully received.

Do you know how many times I hear that "if it's a bill…" Windjunky? We gotta laugh each time or people might get offended.

In reply to Guernica, I do play a bit in the afternoons but tend to go for arcade games like peggle or trials HD. If I try a game like MW2 i tend to die alot cos i'm off changing a nappy half way through a match! My wife works some evenings so I get the kids off to bed early and get my gaming fix.

Hi welcome Mr postie!

Question for you… have you ever been tempted on a cold, wet shitty morning to just dump all the post in a drain and bugger off home back to bed?!

I'm always tempted to dump the mail and go back to bed even on a sunny day! It's mostly crap that goes in the bin anyway. I reckon we should provide a service where we put the mail straight into your recycle bins rather than through your door.

lol yeah.. i'm a postie too.  i think it'd be a good idea if everyone came to the office every morning and got their own mail.. save me having to fucking carry it every day.

I do that sometimes. Not a postie though.

I am mostly an offline gamer, ever since the Spectrum, but you might catch me kicking about LBP with the kids of an afternoon. Welcome to the forums.

Welcome and big group hug.

Any tactics on nappy changing and games that can be played at the same time appreciated (currently magic the gathering and blood bowl (yes I know you all advised me not to – infact it was this game that rrod my 360) are the only ones I can think of)

Hmm, can't think of a games you can play and change a nappy at the same time. I did get nappy changing down to about 40 seconds when I used to play COD 4. That's how long a break you get in between multiplayer matches!
